The author, Linda Hartford, is a Mom, a Nana, and a retired Registered Nurse. She worked 53 years and loved every bit of it except for writing the nursing notes. So naturally, now she is a prolific writer. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she trained at St. Luke’s Hospital, worked in Medical, Surgical and Psychiatry for 20 years, moved to Florida and worked 30 years in Home Health. Presently, she lives in a wooded area of Chapel Hill, North Carolina with her 2 dogs, a friend and her 3 cats, hundreds of birds in residence or migrating through, a couple of neighborhood dogs who come to eat the catfood and 5 chickens who wander in from somewhere but never leave us an egg. We feed them anyway. Life is good.
